16 Dec '06 Smalltowns last gig. The eyes were sore and the drinks plentiful. Ciders filled every glass, and beer was sprayed about in lavish quantities. This time we had the entire Orchestra on site, plus choir-ladies from "Cables" and additional strings. 220 payed for their ticket this night and everybody agreed that they'd a nice night with The Smalltown Ramblers! 04 Nov '06 Yihhhhaw! Home, at least for Oyvind and Torgeir. Played at the "Legendary" Felix Scene in Lillehammer in front of 80'ish people. Wonderful! Thanks to Billy & Ola for top-notch facilities, and quite possibly the best Back-stage in Norway. 14 Oct '06 We were hardly playing blues, but somehow people seemed to take a liking! Played at "Oktoberfest" at Elverum Bluesklubb. 02 Sep '06 A rainy gig at the "Kongene paa Haugen" Festival. We'd like to think we kept you all warm and fuzzy. 15 July '06 Gig with the Smalltown Ramblers Orchestra in "Gamlebyen" Oslo. We're in aw of our own "big-band" who're ten times the musicians we are, and have some spunk too! 08 July '06 Sjoaelverock-Festival. "Deep in the mountains, high in the hills!". A festival we sincerely wish more people will attend next year since they've got it all. Beer, Rafting and music. If you wish for more, you are surely out of your mind. 03 June '06 Musikkens Dag in Oslo with the Smalltown Ramblers Orchestra. We didn't quite dare to believe it, but it's true. Even the most shortsighted and half-deaf people DO enjoy Swinging tunes from a swing orchestra. By saying that i do not imply that there were shortsighted or half-deaf people there of course. And if there was, not that there's nothing wrong with that..... ok. Thank you for showing up! 02 June '06 Superrally, Vinstra. The annual worldwide bikermeet for Harley Davidson dudes and dudettes! We played two fiercely even gigs here and we once again noted (duly) that bikers know how to drink and make mayhem of sound! 27 May '06 Fossekleiva festivalen in Svelvik. This time around we did not get tanned, however, our newly promoted light-techie almost choked us to death by being overly triggerhappy on the smoke. He also sent Kjetil into a state of coma by flashing bright lights. 16 May '06 Hipp-Rock-Hooray mini festival at Gamle Christiania, Oslo. Just after a cross between AC/DC and Motorhead, and just before turbo-polka from Norway, Smalltown Ramblers slid in and played a short number. Good crowd who knew how to twist, and occasionally Rhumba! 10 May '06 Release for "Too Much Coffee" CD at Mono, Oslo. Good crowd, Semi-moonshine in homemade cups, angry janitors with switchblade knives and Smalltown Ramblers on Stage. Enjoyable! 30 Apr '06 First and hopefully not last gig with "The Smalltown Ramblers Orchestra". (You'll have to see it to believe it!). The ones that were lucky enough to witness this spectacle were at Blå, Oslo. The lowdown on the hoedown was Smalltown Ramblers + 2x trumpets, a trombone and 2 additional saxophones. Alot of sound. Played right after Mira-Mira Craig. She sure likes to sing her own name! Luckily we played indoors, and had a darn good time doing it too. 09-10 Feb '06 By:Larm, Tromsø. Just home from Tromsø. What a strange and friendly city! Played two gigs. One at Driv Thursday, and one at Rica Hotel Lobby Friday (Which by the way was a strange place for us to have a gig). Mr. Bass-slapper will have to de-bloodify his bass after that hard treatment! 29 July '05 Our very first trip to Sweden. Played at Bright River Cruisers Annual Summer meet in Bollnäs. Great! 04 June '05 "Musikkens dag" in Oslo. Hundreds of bands played for free all over Oslo. It was rainy and wet off-stage, sweaty and wet on-stage.
